HELINA 2025 Conference Proceedings Coming Soon!
The HELINA 2025 Conference Proceedings will be available soon. The conference, held in Gaborone, Botswana under the theme “Building Sustainable and Resilient Client-Centered Health Informatics Systems for Health Equity in Africa,” brought together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and innovators from across the continent and beyond. The proceedings will contain peer-reviewed submissions spanning a wide range of topics at the heart of Africa’s digital health agenda including FHIR-based interoperability and AI in clinical decision-making, telehealth, EMR adoption, data governance, community health information systems, workforce capacity development and more! Contributors represent institutions across Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Zambia, Nigeria, Ghana, the DRC, the Gambia, and more.
This body of work will reflect the growing depth and diversity of health informatics research and practice on the continent. It is intended as a resource for practitioners, researchers, educators, and policymakers working to strengthen digital health systems in Africa. Stay tuned!
