About this session
Africa on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is a continental initiative led by HELINA to build the skills and competencies across Africa’s health sector for privacy-enabled sharing of health data using the HL7® FHIR® standard. It is aligned with the Africa CDC Digital Transformation Strategy and has convened multiple trainings.
As part of Digital Health Week 2026, HELINA shared its experience with the initiative in this virtual session, presented by David Mukungi, a Digital Health Software Engineer and Systems Interoperability Specialist.
